Was Michael Jackson a "Kook"

After watching Martin Bashir's infamous interview with the "King of Pop" over the issue of children (especially his own) I wonder how much can be blamed on his childhood? Or was it just a case of a really sick narcissist in love with his own "myth"?

I am beginning to think after giving him a large amount of benefit and ignoring all the media crap I think the latter.Even the funeral was like the burial of a great king in a casket of gold.

Whilst I don't believe the allegations were true, I think his mythic status probably killed him in the end!

As Euripides once said "Whom the gods wish to kill,they first make mad"

Unfortunately I am just a skeptic (rather unusual for Christian)
